The Duke Institute for Health Innovation – in collaboration with sponsors across Duke Health enterprise including the DCRI, is pleased to announce the inaugural Duke Health Innovation Jam!

The Innovation Jam is a unique Shark Tank style event on Tuesday, September 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Implementable and sustainable ideas that can create value, differentiation or competitive advantage in transforming health and health care have a have a shot at winning actual investment dollars toward development.

The proposed ideas can be a concept or a simple prototype, but must need to have a clear business and value proposition.

Several senior leaders, including the DCRI's Eric Peterson, MD, MPH21, and Manesh Patel, MD, have pledged to invest actual dollars in order to earn a coveted place at the Investors Table. The Innovation Jam will also be an incredible opportunity to be noticed by some of the most important people at DUHS and have their undivided attention. Ten innovative and conceptualized ideas will be selected to pitch to our esteemed Investors.

Submissions are due by 5pm on Friday, August 21 and are open to staff, faculty, residents, and students from the Duke School of Medicine, Duke University, and Duke University Health System.

Teams can consist of individuals from different divisions, departments, and schools. The Innovation Jam is an exciting chance to see what the best and brightest can pitch to our Investors and hear what our Investors think! Event attendance is open to both Duke and external audiences.
