Mina Silberberg Named Director of Community Engaged Research Initiative

Mina Silberberg, PhD, has joined CTSI as the Director of the Community Engaged Research Initiative (CERI), with Dr. Leonor Corsino, Dr. Rosa Gonzalez-Guarda, and Dr. Julius Wilder as Co-Directors.

As Director, Dr. Silberberg will oversee the general strategy and operations of CERI and help solidify strategic priorities. She will work with the team to forge the path forward, organize and prioritize all that CERI is doing, and guide program evaluation efforts. 

Dr. Silberberg is currently an Associate Professor in Family Medicine and Community Health, as well as an Associate Research Professor of Global Health at the Duke Global Health Institute and a Core Faculty Member at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy. Her research interests include community mobilization and policy to address social drivers of health and incorporating population health into clinical training.

Dr. Silberberg obtained her PhD from the University of California – Berkeley. In addition to her faculty positions, she is a mentor in the Clinical Research Study Program and an Associate Program Director of the Duke site for the National Clinician Scholars Program. She is also a member of the leadership team of the Duke Family Medicine Residency and serves on the Primary Care Research Consortium Research Advisory Board.
