Duke Office of Clinical Research (DOCR)

The Duke Office of Clinical Research (DOCR) supports Clinical Research Units (CRUs) across Duke Medicine by providing training and resources for the management of clinical research.

With support from the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), DOCR offers Duke investigators just-in-time Research Management Teams (RMT) to help with research needs. Using an RMT can remove the burden of hiring, managing, and training research and data management staff and allow investigators to focus on the science. Working with a DOCR RMT is ideal for projects that require less than one FTE for support, or for projects that require a range of skills not usually found in any one job description.

DOCR offers free consultations for the following:

  • Grant planning
  • Variable and database review
  • Research project planning
  • Statistical review and input

DOCR also offers free professional education classes in areas such as Human Subjects Research, Study Documentation, and the Informed Consent Process. Visit the Duke Learning Management System (LMS) to sign up for DOCR classes or attend the twice-monthly Research Wednesday Seminars.
