The Office for Institutional Equity offers a series of topic specific workshops designed to provide more focused education and support on key issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The sessions are open to the Duke community, in particular to staff interested in increasing skill and workplace culture in their departments. Registration is required for each session. This session will cover general information about generational diversity. Participants will learn about the general characteristics attribute to generational differences and how they may impact workplace engagement. Particular attention will be devoted to more recent generational and workplace developments related to changes in technology, access, values and skills. Participants will engage in activities that will help them develop capacity for identifying assumptions and expectations that may be connected to their generation, build skills for addressing any generational differences that cause concern or conflict, and examine strategies for creating more inclusive and effective intergenerational workplaces. Designed for staff, student, and faculty learners.   Tue, Apr 25, 2023 | 10 AM - 11:30 AM | Smith Warehouse Bay 6 B177   Please contact Angela Kalo if you have any questions or concerns.
