The Office for Institutional Equity offers a series of topic specific workshops designed to provide more focused education and support on key issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The sessions are open to the Duke community, in particular to staff interested in increasing skill and workplace culture in their departments. Registration is required for each session. This session will help participants understand and practice cultural humility in order to be better equipped to communicate across difference. It is designed to be an introspective session focused on individual exploration and relational skill building. Participants will examine their own social identities, views, perspectives and values in order to better understand their unique lenses with respect to their engagement in the world. Participants will practice dialogues across difference in order to build capacity in cultural humility. Participants should be prepared to share about their own identity and experiences in this session. Designed for staff, student, and faculty learners.   Wed, Apr 19, 2023 | 2 PM - 3:30 PM | Smith Warehouse, Bay 6, B271 (2nd Floor)   Please contact Angela Kalo if you have any questions or concerns.
